Leonie was commissioned to scale up Swarm to a 10-metres-long, nearly 3-metres-high sculpture for Westgate shopping mall in Oxford during Easter 2023.
Alongside the sculpture, visitors were invited to make a climate pledge and fold a bee to add to an ever-growing public participatory artwork. After the display period, the public artwork was donated to local schools.
Over 3,000 climate pledges were made over the course of a week, representing postive climate action and Swarm was featured on ITV Meridian news. The public participatory artwork was donated to three local schools to continue the learning.
